Name: Maryia (Maur-ee-uh)
Age: 10
Gender: Female
Anime/Story: Resident Evil
Personality: Stubborn, Childish, Strategic, Quick-Thinking, Loner, Anti-Social, Inconsiderate, Cunning, Insomniac, Shows no Mercy.
Background: Her family worked for The Hive and never gave any attention to Maryia. Right before the Zombie Apocalypse, Maryia was attacked by an experimented/created Zombie. It had attacked her so brutally that her left eye was no longer there. Everyone, including her parents, figured she would die and they left her in a room to die at. However, one of Maryia's friends, Dr. Tien, told her that he would save her. He gave her the Anti-virus to prevent her from changing into a Zombie. He also replaced her eye with the Zombie's eye that attacked her. What's not known to Maryia is that Dr. Tien had put some of the T-virus into the eye now in Maryia's face. Therefore, she seems to be immune to the Zombies bites and attacks. Whenever she cries, which is very rare, her left Zombie eye does not produce tears but blood runs down instead. Because of this eye as well, she's able to tell who is a Zombie and who isn't. It isn't very useful at first because it was very easy to distinguish who was who especially since everyone wound up dying except for Maryia who fought for her life for 1 year. (Everyone died when she was 9 and she was discovered by survivors at 10). As the year progressed, Maryia noticed some of the Zombies got smarter and started developing abilities and skills. They could open doors, run faster and start thinking for themselves.
1st Survivor: Jimmy - Jimmy is a small boy, only a couple of years younger than Maryia. She found him being chased by Zombies and rescued him. He told her he was on a plane with his parents and others but it crashed and when he woke up he was alone. Jimmy stays with Maryia for 3 weeks before he disappears suddenly. Maryia finds him and tells him to come back with her. However, it turns out he is actually a Zombie who was able to disguise itself as a human now. Maryia, having her Zombie eye, was able to tell he was a Zombie from the beginning but kept quiet about it to play along with the game he was making. She had also discovered the actual plane crash he was talking about and she finds his dead body wounded badly because of the crash. Jimmy threatens to kill her and starts attacking. Because Maryia had basically been alone all her life and she knows nothing but killing and surviving, she shows no mercy and kills him. His death makes her realize how alone she truly was because even though he was a Zombie and was pretending everything, they still talked and acted like friends. She collapses from exhaustion and goes unconscious but is quickly discovered by other survivors.
Surviors: There are remaining survivors away from the city full of Zombies. It's partially above ground and partially below ground. It's called "System X." The main survivors that Maryia pays attention to are:
Lt. Sierra - Commander and Leader of System X. She's ruthless, shows no mercy and is secretly developing a weapon to kill everyone and save herself and a few of the survivors even though she claims to be making a "cure" for everyone.
Diligent (Deh-lie-jent) - One of the higher up Officers in Command. He's 12 years old but very brilliant. He's innocent though and knows nothing of the weapon. He truly believes they're making a cure and everyone will be saved. He enjoys picking on Maryia for being the youngest and always argues with others because of his size and age, people fighting about how they shouldn't listen to a little kid.
Samantha (Sam) - Maryia's first friend at System X. She's friendly and believes everyone should just get along. She dislikes violence but is very good at it. She's quick on her feet and uses Snipes as her weapons.
Dave - A young male, a little over 20, who finds an interest in Maryia. He loves everything about her and likes to fantasize about her wearing cute dresses and bows and can't wait till she's older and grown into a full woman. He's protective of her and tries anything to make her happy and not worry about anything. He also rants on about him and Maryia marrying one day and actually planned on proposing to her at her age so "no other man can steal her away." He's great at close hand to hand combat and has many different types of knives. He always carry a gun with him just in case though. Unfortunately, while protecting Maryia, he gets wounded badly and starts turning into a Zombie. Maryia is horrified at this and seems to show only mercy towards him, telling him he'll be ok and she refuses to kill him. As he hangs on to the end of his life, he reminds Maryia of how much he truly loved her and wanted to see her grown up. Maryia manages to cry for the first time in front of others because of Dave's soon-to-be death. He hands a ring to Maryia, telling her he was going to propose to her later on that evening when they had finished their mission. This crushes Maryia and makes her even more upset. He finally finishes telling her that she'll be ok and she needs to be strong and kill him off before it's too late. Maryia understands and hesitates at first but shoots him in the head, ending his life. In frustration and sadness and despair, she winds up shooting him even more, not realizing she's continuing to do so. When she comes back, it's seen her wiping her tears and keeping her head up to be strong for Dave as she wears the ring he gave her on her engagement finger, promising to remain faithful to him till she dies.
Lizabetheris (Liz) - Liz is a very hard-headed woman who cares only for herself. She refuses to trust Maryia because of her Zombie eye and recommends plenty of times for Maryia to wear an eye patch over it. Although she can be rude, she is apart of their group and isn't a backstabber. She remains loyal, even though there's suspicion that she knows things others do not and she's going to turn against them. She never does though and proves everyone wrong. She tends to have a grudge against Maryia for Dave's death.
Samuel - Sam's older brother. He's considered to be the doctor of System X as well as the administrator. Everyone receives a special tattoo that they burn into your skin so they know who's part of System X and who isn't. It's also special that if the substance touches a Zombie, it will immediately start killing them. So anyone wearing the tattoo can't be a Zombie. Samuel is a bit of a perv but very optimistic and cheerful. He's a great cook as well.
